Description :

The purpose of this Contract is to provide concrete footings for steel poles supporting electrical equipment or lines, or modify existing high voltage electrical facilities as the need arises in a timely manner. A pre-work site visit will be held at the jobsites as work is assigned.

The intent of these specifications is to describe the work and to provide appropriate pay items. Some of the items and quantities in the Bid Schedule may not be utilized. Others may be partially used or exceeded. No adjustment of unit prices will be made for under-runs or overruns of the quantities listed in the Bid Schedule.

The Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, materials, equipment and incidentals necessary to accomplish the work in accordance with the Contract. The work generally consists of constructing reinforced concrete structures, drilling, setting reinforcing steel cages, setting anchor bolt cages, form cap, placing concrete, minor grading, and providing as-built drawings. The work is further described in the Technical Conditions.

The work on this contract consists of numerous individual jobs, which will be assigned. The work under this contract will be authorized by Task Release issued by the SMUD Contract Engineer.
