Description :

SMUD intends to award one or more contract(s) to the lowest evaluated Bidders as a result of this solicitation.  The work to be performed under the resulting contract(s) shall be in the form of individual Purchase Orders. The aggregate amount of all tasks shall not exceed an amount between $3,000,000 to $4,400,500.

The Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to accomplish the work in accordance with the contract. The work generally consists of removing and replacing concrete and asphalt, sidewalks, driveways, curbs and gutters, patch paving roadways and parking lots and other miscellaneous concrete and asphalt work as directed by SMUD. Projects for replacing asphalt or concrete more than 500 square feet, SMUD shall reserve the right to post for a competitive bid for the project. The work will be at various locations throughout SMUD’s service area. The work consists of numerous individual jobs (tasks/Purchase Orders), which will be assigned as the need arises.

When SMUD has backfilled and compacted the excavation sites, with ¾ base rock and temporary patched with cut back; removal of the temporary patch and excess base rock is required. Removal of the base rock necessary to complete the work should be the same thickness of the asphalt or concrete that is to be replaced. All excavated material shall be considered incidentals and shall become the property of the contractor. No additional payment will be made for the disposal of excavated materials and shall be promptly removed from the site. The Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to accomplish the work in accordance with the Contract.
