Description :
The Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to accomplish the work in accordance with the Contract. The work generally consists of: The removal and replacement of existing wood poles on SMUD's distribution/transmission systems. Poles may have a variety of voltages (230kV to 120V), communication conductors, and associated equipment on them. SMUD will furnish all material necessary to install the pole and rebuild or reinstall the existing equipment based upon current SMUD Construction Standards. The work consists of obtaining all necessary permits; hole drilling, digging, trenching; removal of existing pole, installation of new pole, transfer or installation of existing equipment and conductors; installation or transfer of cross-arms or other structures on the pole as directed; permanently or temporarily transferring other utilities; back-filling, temporary sidewalk & street repair with approved material (example: cold patch or cutback); debris removal; and as-built documentation. Work may also include other work as directed by SMUD. The work under this Contract consists of numerous individual jobs, which will be assigned after Contract award.
