SMUD is seeking bids to establish a five-year contract with a single or multiple Towing Companies for a period of three years with options for two additional one (1) year extensions.  This solicitation will be for services on Light Duty vehicles & equipment only, which for the purposes of this bid SMUD defines as vehicles and equipment up to 12,000 lbs. GVWR including Hybrids and EV vehicles see details for Hybrid/EV towing requirements.  Bidders who wish to bid must bid on the complete schedule. Bids which do not include the complete schedule will be considered non responsive and be rejected. Contractor is to provide all necessary, labor, material, and equipment to provide towing services for conventional fueled vehicles, transport services for electric vehicles and roadside services, all on an “as-needed basis”.
