Description :

Contractor shall provide all labor, insurance, transportation (including pick-up and delivery as required), spare parts, and repairs as needed to test, repair and recharge the fire extinguishers of various types and sizes, and to provide test inspections for the fixed fire system cylinders at Fresh Pond and in the Upper American River Project area and other related services as directed by the District.  One contract in the amount of $50,000 is intended to be awarded for the work described herein. The work specifications for requirements are as follows:
(1)  	Contractor shall provide annual and other periodic inspection services for the fixed systems and hand held extinguishers. repair any item or system that is not within the manufacture’s specifications.  Other emergency repairs may be requested and provided on an “as need” basis. Cylinder tests shall include Cylinder, cylinder head, and flex hose.
(2)   	Contractor shall schedule all fire extinguisher maintenance services with the Contract Manager. Contractor shall be ready to recharge, reseal, retag and repair  and / or  test the quantity of fire extinguishers as scheduled.  
(3)  	Contractor shall furnish and install replacement parts and materials as required and recommended by the fire extinguisher manufacturer.  All Ansul cartridges used in recharging must be replaced with Ansul Cartridges.
