Description :

The Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) is actively seeking your interest in the development of biogas to pipeline projects within California and western states. Biogas reduces SMUD’s carbon footprint, supports renewable goals and takes advantage of existing natural gas generation assets. SMUD is interested in long-term supplies of biogas that satisfy eligibility requirements of the California renewables portfolio standard and for biomass-derived fuels under the AB 32 cap and trade regulation.

Objective: Identify qualified counterparties to support SMUD’s acquisition of biogas resources. Preference is for new, long-term, joint development opportunities and competitively priced off take agreements from within California; however, all opportunities will be considered. The focus is on larger projects with potential flowrate greater than 2 million SCF per day of raw biogas that justify cleaning and transporting to pipeline.
