Description :

The Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to accomplish the work in accordance with the Contract.  The work generally consists of the following:
GENERAL

SMUD is seeking a Design/Build Contractor to provide turnkey services to design, procure and install a fully functional waterproofing system on the three (3) exposed concrete exterior walls of the Jones Fork Powerhouse.  SMUD hopes that this RFP provides enough flexibility in the design/build process that each Contractor can propose a system that meets SMUD’s needs, has a proven track record and is cost effective.
Additional potential work items include (1) corrosion removal/surface preparation and coating application to the draft tube gates and gate guides and (2) surface preparation (which includes minor concrete repairs) and coating application to the concrete tailrace walls.
The proposal shall include, but is not limited to; all materials, labor, subcontractor services, and equipment necessary for the system installation. Additional information on the scope can be found in the Technical Conditions.  

The work generally consists of the substrate preparation and installation of a waterproof polymer overlay surfacing system for the concrete exterior walls of the Jones Fork Powerhouse.  Substrate preparation includes all necessary environmental controls for dust, blast containments, complete substrate cleaning, crack sealing, deficiency repairs and protection of all SMUD equipment. Polymer overlay shall be in accordance to manufacturer’s recommendation and shall include all details required by this project.  The Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, materials, equipment and incidentals necessary to accomplish the work in accordance with the Contract.

Instructions:	A Pre-Proposal Conference is scheduled for Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Fresh Pond Hydroelectric Maintenance Headquarters located at 7540 Highway 50, Pollock Pines, CA 95726 at 9:00 A.M. It will be followed by a site visit to the project location. It is strongly recommended that all Proposers attend this conference to ensure a complete understanding of the details of this Request for Proposal.
