Description :

The work generally consists of roofing services, replacement and repair, as needed, to various SMUD buildings in the UARP area. Work will include repairs and replacement of utility structure roofs and will be done in the vicinity of energized, high voltage equipment and/or support structures or repairing concrete which supports energized, high voltage equipment and/or support structures. Expertise in the repair and replacement of utility structure roofs is required. 

Contractor shall have experience with the following roof systems:

Built-Up Bituminous Roofing
Built-Up Coal Tar Roofing
Single-Ply Membrane Roofing
Cold Applied Liquid Coating 
Modified Bitumen Membrane Roofing
Flashing and Sheet Metal

The Upper American River Project (UARP) ranges from White Rock Power House (P.H.) at approximately 1000’elv. to Loon Lake P.H. at about 6500’elv. The weather conditions can be extreme, changing rapidly from clear and sunny to rain and snow. The desired results of this contract are to bring the roofs of SMUD buildings and Power Houses in this area to a weather tight condition, as needed.
