Description :

Phase 1 of the Union Valley Bike Trail Project will consist of, approximately 1.5-mile paved, FS-Class 5 bike trail near the shore of the Union Valley Reservoir and will be constructed between Wench Creek Campground and Yellowjacket Campground, A summary of the Phase 1 improvements include but are not limited to installation of an at-grade 8’ wide asphalt concrete paved bike trail with 2-foot gravel shoulders, elevated boardwalk and two pedestrian bridges, split rail fence minimal removal of trees along the trail alignment and directional, informational, and regulatory signage.

Phase 2 of the Union Valley Bike Trail Project will consist of approximately 4.6 miles of new FS-Trail Class 5 bike trail near the shore of the Union Valley Reservoir between Wolf Creek Campground and West Point Campground.  The new trail would begin near the end of the existing trail at Wolf Creek Campground and would continue west through forest, wetland areas, and drainages until it reaches the Camino Cove Campground access road.  The trail will cross this access road and continue through similar habitats until it reaches the West Point Campground. A summary of the Phase 2 improvements include but are not limited to installation of an at-grade 8’ wide asphalt concrete paved bike trail with 2-foot gravel shoulders, elevated boardwalk, a pedestrian bridge, two picnic tables at a bicycle rest area east of Camino Cove Campground, new trailhead parking areas at the Wolf Creek Campground and West Point Campground, minimal removal of trees along the trail alignment and directional, informational, and regulatory signage.

Instructions:	Directions to meeting point for RFQ & Site Visit: West Point Campground is located on northwest shore of Union Valley Reservoir, 15 miles from Highway 50. From Highway 50 turn north on Ice House Road (Primary Forest Road 3.) Go 7 miles, turn left on Peavine Ridge Road, go 3 miles west , make a right turn on Bryant Springs Road. Go 5 miles north to just past West Point Boat Ramp on the right.
